Jean Schlumberger, the legendary French born Jewelry designer who created some of Tiffany’s most incredible jewels. J.S began his career making buttons for Elsa Schiaparelli.

Then came WW2, J.S was in the French Army and survived the Battle of Dunkirk. He also served under General Charles de Gaulle in England and the Middle East with the Free French Forces. Post the war he moved to NYC to start a design career, and began working with Tiffany&Co in 1956, where he famously designed the mounting for the Tiffany Yellow Diamond, one of the largest yellow diamonds ever discovered; its carat weight is 287.42 carats (57.484 g).
